Default Cross subdomain integration - 05-15-2009, 08:14 AM

Hello,

I have installed the script for my site, which uses two different subdomains for the two parts:
  • vBulletin - forums.example.com
  • MODx - pages.example.com

This may not be the reason, but when I log in I am not logged into the MODx site. There are no errors or other information shown.

Any ideas?

It’s likely that your client systems are either already connected to the HIS servers or can be connected relatively easily through common protocols such as TCP/IP and the networking clients included with the client operating system. However, you might not have the host-to-server connections in place.

HIS builds on Microsoft’s SNA Server to provide SNA connectivity between HIS and your host servers. HIS acts as an SNA gateway, performing protocol translation between the clients and the host servers. This eliminates the need to install and manage SNA protocol stacks on the clients. For that reason, you don’t really need to concern yourself with client-to-host connectivity. Therefore, one of the first issues you need to address is how the HIS servers will connect to the host servers.
